Consent Orders & Agreements

We provide legally binding, court-approved agreements that formalises arrangements, reducing future disputes and ensuring enforceable terms.

Consent Orders provide a clear, legally binding framework, reducing future disputes and ensuring enforceable terms.

If you have reached an agreement about parenting and/or financial/property arrangements and want to formalise the agreement to make it legally binding, you can apply for Consent Orders. In certain circumstances, Consent Orders can also be used to vary or discharge existing family law orders.

Consent Orders are submitted for approval by the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. The court can take between 2 to 6 weeks on average to review the orders to ensure they are just and equitable and in the best interests of any children involved.

Once the Court approves your consent orders, your agreement is legally binding. Upon approval, orders are 'sealed' meaning you can have peace of mind from any unnecessary litigation as well as enjoy the tax and stamp duty benefits, if applicable.
